About Me

Welcome to ESchmidtTEACH, a teaching blog just like all the others... Just kidding! 

 

Currently, I am a K-5 Inquiry Lab teacher at an IB World School in North Carolina. 

 

Before landing here, I taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades  in a STEM school for 6 years.  And before that, I taught 2nd and 3rd grades at a traditional elementary school for 6 years.

Because I had had such a diverse set of experiences as a teacher, I think I have a unique perspective to share. 

 

I have been fortunate to have had an abundance of amazing professional development (with a strong focus on STEM and IB) and this has helped me to become a well-rounded teacher. 

 

I have learned so much from my internet teacher friends and feel like it is my turn to contribute to the online teacher community, so this blog is my attempt to do so.
